Now let’s get to our list!

8 Most Anticipated Games of 2021

Here are our picks for the eight most anticipated games of 2021:

Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Stronghold: Warlords

If you’re a fan of strategy games, you surely remember the revolutionary title that is Stronghold! This franchise has a long history of various titles ranging from traditional medieval warfare to epic battles throughout the Holy Land’s deserts. Stronghold Legends even threw some mythical creatures into the mix!

Stronghold Warlords, however, decided to switch things up and take all the action to medieval China! The developers at Firefly Studios plan to release this brand-new installation in the Stronghold franchise in early 2021 on Steam. If you’re a passionate fan of the old Stronghold games and love medieval RTS games, building and besieging castles, and building a strong empire, this game is for you!

Stronghold Warlords will feature an exciting single-player campaign, a castle defense game mode, plenty of new troops from the Chinese medieval era, and even a brand-new co-op multiplayer mode! All of these features will guarantee dozens of hours of intense RTS action and fun! So don’t miss this upcoming installment in this all-time classic franchise!

Far Cry 6

We’ve got yet another game in this widely beloved franchise fans are anticipating in 2021! After the overwhelming success that was Far Cry 5, Ubisoft went hard at work on another installment in the series.

Far Cry 6 is an FPS game that will take place on a fictional Caribbean island. There, you (the player) will be playing the role of a guerrilla fighter combating the dictatorial regime of the island’s “El Presidente,” Antón Castillo. Far Cry games are famous for their incredible but fictional politically-focused storylines, which means this game won’t leave die-hard fans disappointed!

According to the latest information, gamers will be able to enjoy this title from February 18. So start saving and get on board the hype train!

Halo Infinite

If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the continuation of the Master Chief’s saga, your patience will soon be rewarded! Although the game was supposed to launch around the end of 2020, the release has been postponed to 2021. However, the anticipation for it hasn’t dwindled in the slightest!

We know nothing about the game’s plot yet; the only thing that the team at 343 Industries confirmed is that Halo Infinite will continue the series’ story. The team also noted that the game would be “much more human” than the Halo franchise’s previous entry.

With all that in mind, eager fans can do nothing but save up and patiently wait for updates and more reveals. We’re keeping our fingers crossed they come soon!

Kerbal Space Program 2

When the original Kerbal Space Program game released in 2015, it took the world by storm! It seems gamers never knew how much they wanted a space flight simulation game before one came out. The game quickly gained an enormous and loyal fan base of space enthusiasts who wanted more. And soon, they will get more!

Intercept Games, the developer behind Kerbal Space Program, is planning to release a sequel to the original game in Q3 of 2021! Kerbal Space Program 2 will use the same sandbox model as the original game. However, it will also add many new features, such as more propulsion methods and various modules for on-surface building. Also, players will be able to colonize new worlds and even enjoy a fully-fledged multiplayer mode!

So if you’ve always dreamt of playing Kerbal Space Program with your buddies, you’ll soon be able to. That will also make introducing new people to the game much easier! Yay, the more, the merrier!

Resident Evil Village

Does this game even need an introduction? The Resident Evil franchise is one of if not the longest-standing horror gaming franchises in the world. And with the return to its survival-horror roots with the enormously successful Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, the eighth installment is bound to be as jaw-dropping, if not more, right? You’re absolutely correct!

Resident Evil Village will take place a few years after the previous game’s events, with the last title’s protagonist, Ethan, still being in the spotlight. From what we know so far, the gameplay will remain from the first-person perspective (which is fantastic) and feature some of the famous characters from the Resident Evil franchise, like Chris Redfield.

After what Capcom brought us with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the more recent remakes of the second and third installments in the franchise, many fans worldwide are on the edge of their seats! We know we are!

Vampire the Masquerade — Bloodlines 2

It’s been around 15 long years that the fans of the 2004 masterpiece Vampire the Masquerade — Bloodlines have longed for a sequel. To many gamers’ delights, that time is drawing near!

This iconic action RPG is inspired by the World of Darkness universe and takes place in the 21st century Seattle. The long-awaited sequel will include all the vampire clans we know and love from the original game from what we know so far. The players will play alongside the Venture, the Malkavians, the Nosferatu, and many more. All of these vampire clans have different traits and affinities, and the entire game will revolve around the discord between them.

If you are the type of person who enjoys dark fantasy or roleplaying games, Vampire the Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is likely the most anticipated game of 2021 for you! But if you haven’t played the original game, what are you waiting for? People still praise as the masterpiece it is even 16 years after its initial release! You’ve got plenty of time to finish it by the time the sequel is out as it’s likely to come out somewhere in the second half of 2021.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

The Warhammer 40,000 universe has earned a cult status throughout the years. Whoever hasn’t played the miniature war game has missed out on a lot! But even if you haven’t, you’ve likely tried a few of the Warhammer 40,000 RTS video games like the Dawn of War series.

In a world brimming with technologically advanced alien races, heavily armed space marines, armored vehicles, and even gargantuan demons, it’s hard to imagine nobody thought of making the game a first-person action shooter. If you are one of the people who’ve always dreamt of a first-person Warhammer 40,000 game, it’s your lucky day. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is just that!

We don’t know much about the game yet; in fact, we know next to nothing. But what we do know is that it will be an action-packed first-person adventure with co-op support! So if you’ve always wanted to immerse yourself with your friends in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, you’ll soon be able to!

The developers announced that the game is planned to release somewhere near the end of 2021. So get the hype ball rolling and prepare to shout: “For the Emperor!”

Hitman 3

Last but not least, we have the return of everyone’s favorite assassin, Agent 47! That’s right — the final installment in the World of Assassination trilogy is coming in January of 2021!

This stealth-based third-person shooter focuses on using stealth and deception to take out prominent criminals worldwide. The developers behind the franchise, IO Interactive,  revealed that Agent 47’s contracts would take him to Dubai, England, and many more places this time around. They also noted that the players would be able to sync their maps and progress from the previous Hitman games with the latest installment!

If you’re an avid fan of stealth-based action games or have always wanted to walk in the shoes of a professional assassin, this game is perfect for you! So why not treat yourself by preordering Hitman 3 for Christmas?
