According to various publishers, 85% of videos on Facebook are viewed without a sound. The latest data shows that Facebook videos are generating 8 billion views per day. Millennial news site Mic claims that 85% of its videos that last 30 second are watched without sound. According to latest data, Facebook is now seeing 100 million hours of video watched daily. “Video is an important part of the Facebook experience, and continuing to invest here is important for allowing people to share and consume some of the most engaging content,” stated Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Social Ad Spend Increased Up To 50% in the Q4 of 2015

Kenshoo management platform stats show global search ad spend in Q4 2015 rose 8% compared to the previous year, while social advertising jumped 50% year over year among advertisers using this platform. According to these stats, the increases in social advertising are thanks to Facebook dynamic product ads, more available inventory on Instagram and higher CPC’s driven by new objective-based bidding strategies. The report shows that mobile took the lead in growth in both search and social, accounting for approximately all of the spending growth in search and social advertising in the last quarter of 2015.
