Facebook is testing a new section that will enable a dedicated location for users to find, watch or share videos with their Facebook friends. “The feature will be accessed by tapping a Videos icon at the bottom of the Facebook app on iPhone or in the Favorites section on the left-hand side of the News Feed on the web,” stated Will Cathcart, VP of product management for Facebook. This is not the only feature being tested, Suggested Videos and a multitasking feature that allows users to watch a video in a “floating screen” while doing other things on Facebook are expected to be on Facebook’s menu in the future as well. This social giant is also updating its Page Insights analytics section and improving video uploads. Video is most certainly becoming one of the most important concerns for Facebook developers, mainly because of its popularity. According to the Wall Street Journal, Facebook users watch more than 4 billion videos on a daily basis.
