Media consumption is changing rapidly in 2016. February survey done by Wyzowl found 61% of businesses stated that they currently use video as a marketing tool and of that 61%, 2/3 were not using video just one year earlier. With predictions that videos are expected to make up 60% of all mobile data traffic by 2020 and 80% of all internet traffic by 2019 we reached out to marketing/advertising community to find out few things:
- How important is video today for their digital strategy?
- How do they use it to promote their business?
- Do they include FaceBook native video, YouTube channel and/or independent video platform?
- And finally do they take notice of their mobile visitors?
There has been a huge increase of video content consumption on Facebook. According to latest data, Facebook is now seeing 100 million hours of video watched daily.

One of the most important concerns every marketer has is definitely how to increase revenues. The newest B2B Content Marketing report shows B2B marketers are increasingly focused on driving revenue. This latest CMI and MarketingProfs study shows marketers are planning to increase their revenue by creating more content. Around 76% of the CMO-s claim they are planning to produce more content in 2016. 72% of them claims that creating more engaging content is their top priority, but what concerns them the most is how can they produce more content that will convert better?
Visual content, videos especially, will definitely continue as main trend in 2016. Brands will create more videos, utilize live streaming apps, invest into video ads and really embrace interactive features within content. It’s not just our view of the trends that will dominate 2016 but most of the industry people we’ve talked to said the same.
