Note on Data Transfer to the USA

Among other things, tools from companies based in the USA are integrated into our Website. When these tools are active, Your Personal Data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of EU Data Protection Law. US companies are obliged to hand over Personal Data to security authorities without You as the concerned person being able to take legal action against this. This happens, for example, when Stripe processes a payment for a TargetVideo because You purchased a service from us.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this Website. Handling of applicant data

We offer You the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, by post or via online application form). In the following, we inform You about the scope, purpose and use of Your Personal Data collected as part of the application process. We assure You that the collection, processing and use of Your data will be carried out in accordance with applicable Data Protection Law and all other legal provisions and that Your Data will be treated in strict confidence.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If You send us an application, we will process Your associated Personal Data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG-neu under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 letter „b“ of GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given your consent – Art. 6 para. 1 letter  „a“ of GDPR. The consent can be revoked at any time. Your Personal Data will only be passed on within our company to persons who are involved in the processing of Your application.

If the application is successful, the data submitted by You will be stored in our Data Processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG-neu and Art. 6 (1) letter „b“ of GDPR for the purpose of implementing theemployment relationship.

Data retention period 

If we are unable to make you a job offer, if you reject a job offer, or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have provided on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. „f“ of GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. This storage serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), it will not be deleted until the purpose for continued storage no longer applies.

Longer storage can also take place if You have given a corresponding consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. „a“ GDPR) or if legal storage obligations oppose the deletion.

Access to data from third countries

Our technology partner, an internal subsidiary of the Group, in Serbia Brid Video doo (BridTV), Omladinskih Brigada 88b, Airport City, Belgrade, Serbia, also has access to Personal Data for the purpose of facilitating the technology. However, these are accessed only to the extent necessary. Due to necessity, the Data Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 let. „b“ of GDPR. We have concluded an Data Processing Agreement with brid.tv according to Art. 28 GDPR.

Access is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.

Privacy Policy for TargetVideo Native Player

In this Privacy Policy we inform You about the processing of Personal Data when using TargetVideo Native Player Widget in third-party online services. TargetVideo offers a wide range of free video content that can be embedded by third parties in their online services and websites. The provision of free premium video content to users is only possible by displaying this targeted advertising while using TargetVideo Native Player. Based on pseudonymized data, TargetVideo works with advertising partners to play targeted advertising based on the interests and habits of the user while surfing the Internet in TargetVideo Native Player. The TargetVideo Native Player is either embedded in third-party online services (e.g., a website). If TargetVideo Native Player is embedded in a third-party online service, please also refer to their respective Data Protection notices for more information on how Personal Data is processed there.

  1. Data Processing in connection with TargetVideo Native Player

2.1 TargetVideo only uses pseudonyms.

Personal Data is any information that can be assigned to a person, such as name, age, e-mail address, telephone number or information about the use of the Website and interactions with advertising. As a matter of principle, TargetVideo’s services do not collect any information about users in plain text. TargetVideo does not know the name, address or e-mail address of users of TargetVideo Native Player. All information that TargetVideo processes through TargetVideo Native Player is collected, stored and analyzed using temporary identifiers (pseudonyms) that TargetVideo cannot resolve or re-identify.

2.2 Categories of Data Processing in connection with TargetVideo Native Player.

The provision of content in combination with relevant advertising is generally achieved through the use of the IP address, cookies and comparable technologies (hereinafter also “identifiers”).

Through TargetVideo Native Player, TargetVideo collects the following usage data:

  • current IP address of the end device (pseudonymized by deleting the last part of the IP address)
  • Date and time of video playback in TargetVideo Native Player
  • Information about the region or country where TargetVideo Native Player is currently used
  • technical information about the device and used operating system
  • General information about their user groups (such as age, gender, and interests), if applicable.
  • other identifiers (such as local Storage)

Our advertising partners (see also paragraph 3) also use other identifiers (such as cookies) to collect information about Your activities in TargetVideo Native Player and on third-party websites, and then combine this collected pseudonymized usage data in order to offer You, the user, targeted advertising in TargetVideo Native Player that corresponds to Your activities in the browser and Your interests.

2.3 Purposes of Data Processing for the TargetVideo Native Player.

When a user plays a video in the TargetVideo Native Player, TargetVideo provides the video content and combines it with targeted advertising from different advertising partners. TargetVideo records usage of the TargetVideo Native Player and is responsible for this Data Processing for billing, fraud prevention, and ad blocker prevention purposes. Any advertising partner that cooperates with TargetVideo to serve advertisements to users of TargetVideo’s services, such as by setting cookies, is responsible for the related Data Processing (please see paragraph 3 below).

If a user clicks on the advertisement displayed in the TargetVideo Native Player, for example to go to the advertised online service, this is recorded by TargetVideo. TargetVideo does not know the identity of the user, but can only recognize those users who have previously been shown an advertisement on the basis of the identifiers. TargetVideo receives this data about the interactions with advertising media and the pseudonymized IP address in order to bill its own services with the customers on the basis of this data, to enable the verification of the billing, to create statistical overviews for the customers and to measure the reach and efficiency of the advertising media for TargetVideo’s users.

  1. Recipient of the Data.

TargetVideo only passes on data to third parties if this is necessary to display out the advertising material and to implement campaigns and other purposes listed in this Privacy Policy, or if there is another legal basis for the Data Transfer. The collection, storage and distribution of usage data by the advertising partners who display the advertising is controlled and managed by them. TargetVideo currently works with the following advertising partners, among others, to monetize video content provided:

TargetVideo generally only share pseudonymized data and never passes on names, email addresses or other contact information with third parties.

If TargetVideo uses external service providers and passes on data to them, they may only use the data to fulfill their task and within the framework of specific instructions. The service providers are contractually bound to the Data Protection Regulations. In cases where data is processed in countries outside the European Union, appropriate safeguards are always in place to protect the data subjects (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

Our technology partner, an internal subsidiary of the Group, in Serbia Brid Video doo (BridTV) , Omladinskih Brigada 88b, Airport City, Belgrade, Serbia, also has access to Personal Data for the purpose of facilitating the technology. However, these are only accessed if necessary. Due to necessity, the Data Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR. We have concluded an Data Processing Agreement with BridTV according to Art. 28 GDPR.

Access is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.

  1. Objection / Opt-Out.

In the respective Privacy Policies of the advertising partners mentioned in section 3 – 3.1, You can assert Your right to object with regard to the use of Personal Data for advertising purposes.
